ASKLABS
ASKlabs is a award-winning documentary production company dedicated to
increasing the public understanding of science and the scientific endeavor.
We fulfill our mission by producing contemporary documentary films, television
programming, and websites that inspire audiences around the world to appreciate
the natural and built environments. An important part of our work is to
explore technology’s impact on the environment and the human condition.
Our
projects fall into three programs:
1) Science/Technology
2) The Environment
3) Art
We
work with educational, non-profit, and commerical clients.

PRODUCER/DIRECTOR/WRITER
Formerly a biologist, Alberta Chu has produced popular science programming
for network and cable television. Ms. Chu has a broad range of experience
explaining scientific concepts to popular audiences. Her experience includes
content development and production for an assortment of clients including:
Paramount, The Walt Disney Company, Twentieth Century Fox, National Geographic,
USA Networks/Sci-Fi Channel, Warner Bros. Telepictures, The Discovery
Networks/The Learning Channel (TLC), TechTV/CNET, MTV Networks, Lucasfilm,
Ltd.
Alberta has been involved with science education and outreach programs
at the local and national level. Ms. Chu is a member of the Academy of
Television Arts and Sciences and the World Congress of Science Producers.
Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Slowlab, a non-profit
organization dedicated to sustainable design and architecture.
